Starting March 22nd and ending May 24th, our spring 2023 course will meet every Wednesday from 8-9:30pm EST (except May 17th for one-on-one check-ins with instructor). It spans 10 weeks and includes 15 hours of live class with weekly modules, discussions, and feedback in between.

Our weekly Wednesday lessons occur on Zoom. Every student will also receive a log-in to our course platform where they can access weekly modules, resources, and community discussions.

Ten. To ensure a high level of peer-to-peer connection, attention, trust, and feedback exists within the classroom, enrollment is capped at ten students per cohort. Small, smart, and supportive!

All students are uniquely different. Getting each student to find their voice and grasp their uniqueness is part of our course.  Students have engaged with InnerView for a variety of reasons:

  • "I would like to become a better public speaker"
  • "Improved writing"
  • "Prepare for the application process ahead of time"
  • "To understand and articulate my human value"
  • "Being better at presenting myself"
  • "To gain better narrative and writing skills"
  • "Public speaking, confidence"
  • "Finding my voice"

Yes! Our cohorts are compiled of friends, cousins, and strangers from across the country.

College counselors provide one-on-one coaching to guide you and your child through all stages of the college application process. InnerView offers your child a network and classroom for them to find their voice as a writer and speaker. Within a supportive and collaborative community, InnerView facilitates students' progression through a writer's workshop for their' Personal Statements and challenges them to create and deliver personal presentations to a live audience.

Our writer’s workshop allows each student to practice giving and receiving feedback.

  1. Student 1 shares the first draft of their Personal Statement with the cohort.
  2. Students 2-10 read the first draft and each write a letter of feedback to student 1.
  3. In class the next week, student 1 leads a 25-minute feedback session on their first draft to receive rubric-centered feedback from their peers.
  4. After class, student 1 receives the 9 letters of feedback and notes from their feedback session to consider as they write the second draft of their Personal Statement.

This sequence is repeated for every student in the cohort. In this process, students get equal attention from each other and the course instructor, and practice facilitating a class discussion.
